Positive: The property was great! Right in the middle of the woods, it’s a peaceful place, perfect to relax after a day at Shenandoah National Park. There are Keurig coffee capsules and a machine. In general, the house has many available appliances.
Negative: Keep in mind that it’s going to take around 30 minutes to drive to Shenandoah National Park. Depending on where you’re heading in the park, it can become a long trip.

Positive: All facilities from a regular house. Great spot to plan your trips from. Beautiful area, so quiet, good spot to escape bussy city live. Good place to enjoy nature. Be careful driving at night in the area. Had to let the dear and a raccoon cross the road. The pictures do not give the place justice it's much nicer.

Positive: This is the type of AirBnB experience I miss -- getting to stay with friendly locals in a space they've thought out with care. - Beautiful property. Our dog loved running around and meeting the hosts' poodle mix. 20 min drive from many hikes. - The hosts were so friendly, providing their phone number and keeping in touch throughout our stay. - Value is un-matched. - The house itself was freakishly organized and clearly planned out with care. Very easy to find anything you need (bug spray, towels).
Negative: You know what? It's in the woods. There are bugs. I'm not a fan, but there's nothing any of us can do about it. I will say walking around the house, I could tell a lot of care was put into sealing it as best as possible (caulk in all the cracks, etc.)
Summary: This is the type of AirBnB experience I miss -- staying with friendly locals in a lovely space.

Positive: We loved Everything: cleanliness, location, space and amenities. All is as described, kitchen is well stocked and even has a coffee machine with supplies. Space is nicely designed with cosy living area upstairs with the kitchen and a q bedroom, and very roomy area downstairs with a king bed, sitting area and TV ( we played table games there). There asa ACs which is great for a warm day. The downstairs area has its own bathroom and entrance. We used the washer/ dryer, it’s very convenient when you have a teen and do hiking every day. I love this part of VA and we come back every year to Syria area, and hope we will be back to this place- it worked great for us in terms of space and amenities. Hosts live in the house nearby, but the place felt private and secluded. They are very nice welcoming people, comms via text messages (through the system) were clear. I was taking mountain bike rides every day, and main hiking trailheads are in 20 min drive max. We also found a winery nearby - blue diamond- and enjoyed the great service and nice wine/ beer. You can also have some food there. Speaking of the food, we also used a charcoal grill on the porch and it was nice! You just need to bring your coal. Enclosing Pix from the winery, nearby farm (graves mountain), white oak canyon trail, and the house surrounding. Loved the place and location!
